Q. What is the difference between
ordering a database(s) or web license?
A. By purchasing one or many databases and installing on to your computer (PC or Mac) you can
generate as many tests as you like from those databases that you own. A web license
is a user name and password to access our web site. You can generate tests from any of our
online databases. Each test you generate decrements your license counter. When you reach zero
if you want to continue using our product you'd have to re-purchase.
Q. What do I do if I get this error when I click on the Rapid-Fire icon?
A. This message only means that you already have the Rapid-Fire
software running. Click Ok to close the error window. On the lower right-hand corner of the screen, you will
see a green symbol as well as one or more red symbols, similar to Figure 1.
Right click on the Red symbol and select terminate. Repeat this with
the as many red symbol(s) that you see. If there are no Green symbols and all the Reds have been
terminated then please restart Rapid-Fire. You only want one green circle with the grey X running.
Q. What do I do if I double-click on the Rapid-Fire icon, but the program does not start?
A. If you see the green symbol in the lower right-hand corner of your
screen, similar to Figure 2, the program is running but the browser didn't automatically start.
To resolve this issue, open up your browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc and in
the address bar, type http://127.0.0.1:50080 and press enter.
This will point your browser to the Rapid-Fire software and you
will be able to use the program. Once you are able to access the
Rapid-Fire Student Edition Test page, select Favorites
from your menu bar, select Add to favorites and
