Is this promotion the opportunity of a lifetime? Then why risk
not being prepared? With Rapid Fire software you can practice taking
the type of test that will give you the confidence and knowledge
you need to succeed.
Scoring higher on firefighter exams is not out of reach when you've
been studying the same information that is on the tests. Challenge
yourself with customized test over the materials YOU need.
Rapid-Fire is all about function over form. We could put a flashy
graphical interface on our software but the bottom line is that
it won't help you when studying for your tests. As the saying goes,
practice makes perfect. That's what Rapid-Fire is for.
Rapid-Fire is specifically designed to test your knowledge with
questions similar to those on real tests. Sometimes, knowing what
(and how) questions are asked can make the difference between a
passing and a failing grade.
Rapid-Fire News
Welcome Vista Users!
Rapid-Fire Software is working hard to become completely
compatible with Windows Vista, which itself is still rapidly changing.
In the mean-time, we've come up with a quick soltion to get you
working with your study guides right away. The installation of Rapid-Fire
onto a Vista machine is a two-step process that differs slightly
from the original installation. However, after you have completed
the installation, the program should run as it normally would. The
two steps are described in detail below. If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact customer support at 979.695.6463.
INSTALLATION ON A VISTA MACHINE
Step ONE
- Place software into CD-Rom*
- Double click on "My Computer"
- Right click on the drive labeled "Rapid-Fire"
(Usually D or E drive)
- Select Open (This will open the "CD Drive")
- Right click on "setup.exe"
file**
- Select "Run as administrator"
This will start the normal installation process. Windows may ask
you to unblock some files to access the program. Please allow these
files.
Step TWO
From the "CD Drive" window that you opened in Step ONE:
- Right click on the file that contains a short
name for the database you purchased, ex:"yourbooknamehere.exe"
- Select "Run as administrator"
- Click OK***
- Click Unzip or Run
*The software may try to auto-install at this point. If the installation
process comes up automatically please click on cancel. It
will ask if you are sure you would like to stop, please select yes.
**There will be two setup files. On some machines
the extension name of .exe will not be visible.
In this instance, please right click on the file with the icon that
looks like a computer and a disk.
***At this point it should just flash quickly and disappear, if
this happens then you are done and do not need to complete item
#4.
